    Default 7950 GX2 Problems?

the best way i can explain this is it just stopped working after i installed new drivers. well it didn't all together break just the Graphic acceleration will no longer work. i herd these cards had short lifetimes. can anyone else confirm this.I herd that 97.xx drivers were best so i switched to those and still have the same problemsi also used driver cleaner in safe mode to completely uninstall the driversi was using a 169.xx beta driver and upped to "stable" 169.21

Drivers were the main issue with these cards. If you had one that worked for you dont change or upgrade it. "If it aint broke dont fix it"

Installing graphics drivers can be tricky sometimes. Make sure you COMPLETELY uninstall the old drivers (google this if you're not 100% sure you have completely removed them) and then try to re-install the drivers. Make sure you're using the correct ones.If that doesn't work, try Omega drivers. An unknown device might show up in your device manager for the video card, but those drivers work really well.

what version drivers did you have before, and what ones did you originally try to update to?I know 169.21 are the most recent drivers (and they're about due for another update)sometimes if the game you play did a major update, using old drivers will do something like that.. most games recommend keeping the newest drivers possible installed.. but im one of those who keep thier drivers updated constantly anywayEdit: try going back a few official release drivers (from the 169.21 download page, use the xp/2000 driver archive link and go back one or 2 official drivers) and see if that helps
