    Default Display problem

Lately purchased a used 8800GT. Card ran fine for the initial when and still does but it develops a strange horizontal line on my screen. I've never seen anything like it so please appear at the attachment to check what I mean.

You’ll detect the pic is a real photograph. While I hit Print Screen the image the computer acquires is absolutely fine- nothing wrong with it no line around the screen. So that means the problem is someplace from the DVI output to the monitor.

Have you attempted a dissimilar monitor? If the screen cap doesn't display the line that advises to me that the display image approach from the card is OK and that it's the monitor that's getting the issue. If you weren't checking it on your previous card is it potential that you're using a various resolution that the monitor doesn't like?

The previous card was the incorporated gfx utilizing a 17 monitor over VGA. Utilizing native res right now 1920x1200 which figured out fine with my old rig and its X1950.
Regrettably I have no another system to throw the card in. Hopefully I have a VGA-DVI adapter someplace so I can at least attempt my 17" monitor.

After today when I'm home I'll attempt changing the resolution and check what happens. Other than that I require more equipment to test.

You can also attempt running VGA from the card to the monitor utilizing the similar resolution, that'll at least point to a DVI issue. when believing further on this. I'm not as converted as I was initially that checking a good screen cap points towards the monitor vice card. a screen cap would be a static image when the display would be active.
