The highly advanced type of memory called GDDR5, and the amount of the latter, 1 GB installed, the features that make the best graphics card manufacturer Sapphire Radeon HD 4870, compared to many other models. Obviously there is to consider membership in a price range not affordable. The new graphics adapter that takes the name of Radeon HD 4870 1GB GDDR5 (PCI-EX 2.0), marketed by specialist manufacturer Sapphire, is distinguished by the type of memory. The latter is particularly developed in response to the parameters of the so-called GDDR5 is currently used only on these specific models. The amount of available memory is above average: 1 GB against 512 Mb of the total common to most adapters.
A few other notes about the processor used: this is an ATI Radeon RV770 XT, and excellent performance. The operating speed attributed to the same graphics processor is 750 Mhz, while the clock frequency on the system memory is 900 Mhz. In the second case it is a rather low value. Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 1GB GDDR5 (PCI-EX 2.0) is a next-generation graphics adapter, which incorporates several advanced technologies and stands out in particular for the quality of memory installed. This, in fact, belongs to the new type GDDR5, hardly ever used so far on graphics cards, and its capacity is 1 GB, twice the standard. With the need for external equipment, the graphics card has connected level, with support for HDMI and one VGA. It has two DVI-I and the system RAMDAC with the usual operating frequency of 400 MHz. Rather low frequency of memory clock of 900 MHz, while the ATI Radeon RV770 XT installed operating at 750 Mhz. Last but not least the output High Definition TV.
