    Default help with motherboard???

    hii just build up a new system ,so i ve got a full pcmotherboard(gigabyte p35 ds3l)processor (core2duo e65500graphic card (xfx 8800 gt 512 m)power supply (650 watt cooler master)memory(1 gb curcial ddr2)hard drive (seagate 320 gb)dvd rw (sony x20)ok.i connected every thing ,when i turned on the computer for the first time .the start up with a logo of the motherbord appears on the screen(gigabyte) with all function keys on the botom. the <tab>post screen <del>bios setup/q-flash <f9>xpressrecovery2 <f12>bootmenu <end>qflash.ok that all what the screen shows .the problem is:when i tryed to hit any of these keys there is no response, which means does not responding at all, even i use to many keyboard(usb,ps2) no way this startup screen is blocked ,i checked all connections was fine.so i would like to know where the problem comes from?many thanks in advance 4 helping

    definitely a motherboard problem, take it back to where you bought it from, it's under warranty right?

    Is the keyboard your using plugged into a USB or PS2? Because as it's new and no drivers have been added then I don't think a USB keyboard would work because of no drivers. Have you tried installing Windows OS? What happens if you try that, then after that's installed you can install the USB then the keyboard will work. I never recommend using USB keyboards as you can have trouble like this. Does the hard drive red light come on in the case of the PC? If it doesn't then you may have the wrong connection connected from your PC case to the motherboard.I'll keep this question in case if it's not solved. Good luck.

    Maybe dumb question, did you plug the keyboard into the purple PS/2? Are you getting a keyboard error? Should be a long beep and 3 short beeps.
