TomTom has a reputation for creating good GPS machines. However, the One 3rd Version adds some additionals, which is disappointing at this cost. There is no Bluetooth and no way of acquiring the machine to download traffic data from the internet through a mobile phone. There is no memory card port or socket for an outer patch antenna, which you may require if your windscreen is athermic (heat-resistant). You do not acquire any fancy apps such as image viewers or MP3 players, either. The One is about as straightforward as you can acquire.
However, it is more responsive than many of the more costly units in the group. It deported itself well in our in-car tries. The graph slides through smoothly, and voice prompts are given in lot of time. Graph are too exactly clear, and
the onscreen show gives you not only a moving graph, but too turn data, adding what you require to do following and when you will be looked to do it. It is exact if you are unknown with the place.
The 3” display is too excellent and is visible in powerful sunlight. Our just complaint is that its little size means the keyboard is similarly crushed, so typing an address is tricky. The roadblock facility is nice, though. You can assure the One how long ahead the hold-up is and it will compute your route. We too wished the assist Me characteristic, which permits you to acquire a phone number for a local garage.
TomTom's One is excellent value for a satnav with European graph, but if you are happy with UK graph then Mio's DigiWalker C220 is excellent value.
