The GeCube Radeon HD 3850 handles higher resolutions pretty well-one can play demanding games at resolutions such as 1680xl050 on a 22-inch monitor, or bigger. You can use the bundled HDMI dongle to connect an HD ready TV. Its credible performance is courtesy its core and memory clock speeds which are ramped up by 54 MHz and 70 MHz respectively. The stock GPU-the Saphire Radeon HD 3850-too was taken down by this card. But, GeCube's 'Best Performance' crown isn't surprising.

Once the HD Radeon 3850 defeats one GPU, it's obvious for it to defeat most cards having the common GPU. A clear proof is Nvidia's 8600GTS-common to the remaining cards in this category. Nonetheless, it has competition offering better performance at a slightly higher price-XFX 8800 GT Alpha Dog Edition in the high•end category. It may attract an ATI fan or one who wants to run two cards in CrossFire mode. If you're into CrossFire, go for it, else there are better options.
