Default Better connection of 4 IDE devices

Hello, I have in my 4 IDE devices (2 hard disks, 1 CD and a DVD player, and I have 2 IDE cables is one of the threads 80 and the other 40) As a master in the 1st IDE I know has to go the hard drive but as the best way or ways counter the rest? If there is, as an alternative to agradeceria why each one to assess and make the decision that best astute my needs,

    Thanks and best regards

It would be best but the hard disk that uses the reader / writer that uses less and vice versa with the other pair.

Put the disk with the OS as the master on the 1st. IDE and the recorder as slave on the 2nd IDE disk to put the data as the master and slave as the reader is better as you go, since it is normal that the recorder records the album with better data and they do not the same IDE channel. It also uses 80-wire IDE cables to avoid problems. Anyway what I would do is put 2 discs in the 1st. the fastest IDE as a master with the OS and the recorder on the 2nd IDE channel as master and remove the reader, is how you can get more performance to the system. I do not see much use to the reader 1 and 1 recorder, the recorder is better than going it alone in a channel, and you can copy a disc on the fly is not worth, it's better if you do not do this very often create images disc in the CD / DVD and burn them so no-flight.

I also believe that using a CD now is useless. This was before because of the recorders were very expensive, and why readers were used, not to wear, but now having recorders for 20 €, a reader can see that nonsense.

thank you very much for the answers, so using it is because the reader is a DVD player, VCR and a CD recorder, the flight of years back I will not. And another problem is that the 2nd disc (data) is a small disk (20GB) which actually copy things from both the 1st disk (the OS) and the 2nd disc.
Any trick to alleviate this problem?

Well I can think of 2 possible solutions:

    a) Change the hard drive xD
    b) Use the 20GB as the primary, but not anger me as windows with only 20GB (by "my documents" on the other HDD of course ...)

Regarding the reason for doing so is simple ... if you find yourself the wire processed multitasking is really not well, 1 can only send information at the same time, so if you put two hard drives (which are used rather than a DVD) on the same cable that the harass Data movement is slower and increase the chances of data loss ...

Hence, usually just put the HDD and the secondary principal with the DVD drive, or if you have like 2-DVD set HDD1 and HDD2-DVDRW/CDRW

All this is your day in accordance with the system S-ATA (but left other problem) But it is not good as you I do not draw much xD

    Ok thank you very much,

then summing up: we must try to match that devices are not used much simultaneously.

Anyway I have a doubt in case of 2 DSIC hard (as a data), it would not be logical to put the recorder in the same IDE as the OS is supposed to make more use of the VCR recording data from the disk, no? if this were true would be in contradiction with what I say to put the recorder to record data.

The hard disk system you use 100% of the time but you seem not, since it is the basis for anything you do (even read or burn a DVD) and what we must always be smooth (not true of nothing to be fluid disk data recorder and the system does not communicate properly)
