Default How to get the full capacity HD WD250GB IDE (external) to be 137GB (48-bit) LBA

    Need Help
I have just upgraded a new HD WD250GB IDE drive to notebook LG P1 Express dual which reports BIOS Version: RKYWSF13 and product name: P1-5xxxE1. I booted with an original XP home edition CD but Disk Management reports the drive as 127.99GB and Norton Partition Magic 8 does the same. The support guys at Norton tell me this is a BIOS issue, I visited LG support software and hardware but there is no software update for Notebook LG model P1 (Express dual), so, can you give me the solution for that? Because I need to upgrade my HD (my HD before 80GB fujitsu came for LG), and How can I get the full capacity of the drive? To be 250GB Help!! Thanks. This is my email: muadz_18@yahoo.com

You need the Acronis Disk Wizard to partition the new hd and make cloning. But this utility only works if a Seagate or Maxtor hd is present. Take the new WD hd to another machine with this brands or add a old Seagate disk to the IDE connector.
