Windows XP can restrict the disk space users can take up. Right-click a hard disk in My Computer, select Properties, then the Quota tab, and tick' Enable quota management'. Click Apply, then OK (not available on some hard disks). Wait for the disk scan to complete, then click the Quota Entries button. Click the Quota menu and select 'New Quota Entry' before clicking the Advanced button. Click 'Find Now' to display a list of user accounts. Select the account to limit and click OK twice. Select 'Limit disk space to'. Type in an amount of space, in MBs or GBs, and select the correct measurement from the dropdown menu to the right. Set a waming level to alert the user when space is running out, click OK, and repeat for-any other users.
