    Default SATA installing problem

I had a problem when trying to install a SATA-II in a plate-V MSI K9VGM. I tried loading the drivers Sata VIA chip in a Windows installation CD but it did not work. After many different tests I had to do the typical. I installed a floppy drive and press F6 to install Win and load the drivers from the floppy.

All well until I decided to put hand to the processor.

I have a Sempron 2800 AM2. The bios (Phoenix) let me raise the FSB from 200 to 232, with a fixed multiplier x8, so I was running at 1856 MHz. Had not had problems before, but now, after installing the SATA disk, move the FSB if the disk does not boot just as it was damaged partition table. Restart the computer, under the FSB back to 200, disk normal again.

There a solution? It occurs to me overclocked, and then installs the disk, but it is a bit tedious. What other ... means that I can not install my disk on another computer with a processor and a different board, I will be the same?

    Thanks from now...

    Hi

Could give specifications of your jar, but I pass, it solves the memos was drama at the beginning, then voltage drama, but nothing too complicated.

New diagnosis of the problem :
By varying the different reactions occurred FSB (The multiplier can not move from the BIOS, the FSB if)

    1. 200 MHz (FSB original)
    2. 220 MHz (charged Boot -> Starts Windows)
    3. 225 MHz (Ibid)
    4. 226-232 MHz (Does not load the Boot and damaged partition table and MBR)

Now I tell them that's what I did:
    1. I got the FSB to 232 does not load the boot
    2. Reboot, I left the FSB at 200, and the album came out normal function
    3. I made tests with different FSB, but with the onset of loading windows (when I tried 200 FSB and 225), reset to test different values.
    4. As the maximum allowed me (carrying the boot) was 225, I left it at that value.
    5. Restart windows to load fully (as was testing, I expected that the logo appears and restarted before the change diferntes FSB)
    6. When entering Windows (FSB @ 225), is caused several reactions:
    a) I threw several errors that said "One of the log files had to recover...
    b) disappeared Quick Launch bar.
    c) Had changed the wallpaper
    d) At the time changed the original theme from Windows
    e) Finally (5-10 min approx.) screen was black with a few squiggles of color on top and stuck Windows.
    7. Reboot and the disk does not boot.
    8. Lower the FSB to 200 (original speed) and nothing ... without boot
    9. I tried to repair the MBR and the partition table with several programs and not get anything.
    10. Finally I decided to reinstall Windows on the primary partition (the other was not damaged)

To see if these data can give me a hand...

Problem that has stability, it can short half voltage in some components.

Now I personally think the Mark Vision are not very, perhaps as the mean latencies as limited or very tight and split but remain attached and that q does not and can boot the pc (not sure) that both incident some file at startup of windows and no damage was booted fine. But the disk is working or not?

when that happens is a native SATA chipset is the chipset that does not block the frequencies PCI / AGP / ATA if it is the problem, there is not much to do unless you have an external SATA controller that is free from the influence of clocks chipset.

Although you may try installing an IDE disk to see if it is less influenced in this regard the SATA

As my original message, before it had 1600 MHz to 1856 (increasing the FSB from 200 to 232) when used alone IDE (2). The whole problem started when you install the Sata. If the problem is what you say I can not do anything? I am doomed to not being able to Overclock? Unable to block the interaction PCI / AGP / ATA from the Bios?

    Greetings.

If the board does not have an option in the bios for the FSB independent of other frequencies of the chipset, I understand that there is nothing to do unfortunately.

I have the same problem, change the HDD and nothing happened, so we do not change

I think it is the driver for VIA Storage Controller VIA VT8237A SATA RAID Controller we also have the same processor so it may be the plate or coming.

Bios that have? I will look if you have the option of blocking the interaction with PCI and AGP. The thing is that it gives me much encouragement to test, because when I do it sometimes ruins the primary partition and I have to install windows and all programs again...
