Default External HDD that's USB powered

    Hello.

I bought an external HDD Rovermate USB2.0 Portable Data Storage Drive 120 GB.

Question: powered by two USB, why two, if one is working. What is the difference, advantages, disadvantages?

Answer: In some computers may not be enough power from one port and then to read the second, I was faced with a shortage of food only when connected to the PCMCIA controller, USB2.0, because on the laptop was absent USB2.0, a copy of USB 1.1 - this is what w need patience. Meals were taken with the USB 1.1 ports on the Note.

That is, in fact, if the hard works from one port, it makes no sense to feed it to two? Also interesting view of technical support.
