    Default Seagate hard drives

    Hi

I just wanted to a hard drive Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST31000333AS, which is part of a marriage party.

Will it be immediately the new firmware?

The exact answer can be found in half-year operation, about the incubation period at issue. Beforehand it is impossible to identify, sacred knowledge can not resist checking, and because even in the "defective" the party is not all discs are returned to the SC. Firmware is not always the case.

A vibration of this hard drive is? And then come to vibrate strongly, thereby provoking the user to their noise.

You advised a quick and quiet HDD.

Really quiet. By comparison with Seagate, it does not crunch.

    Take not regret it.

Thank you for your assistance in selecting the hard drive. If, indeed, be better to Seagate, I will take the Samsung.

By the way, what company is better for all three qualities: quiet, fast and reliable?

Quiet and quick little blend. There is an exception disk is Hitachi E7K1000, but it is one and a half times the track that you initially chose, so I have not even offered. A bit noisy and a little faster RE3 from WD.

Vibration from HDD work begins to be a problem in the case of resonance with the body.

Will soon receive an order for two HDD.

If I did not arrange it possible to change them to what some others?

Do you give me a guarantee that they will not go out and make noise?

Hmm. We can give feedback guarantee any device ever fails.

Is also true that a device with moving mechanical parts of the duty to make noise. Just in the proposed version of that you no mistake in the firmware and less noise than the first choice.

My first hard drive was a Seagate Barracuda 4-series, while leaving already (it even had to run to Moscow) - quiet and reliable, served me a couple of years, then was sold along with a computer ... There were no reprimands. And all of the following hard drive had been Samsung, Seagate problem so I went around the side.

So, that's me what? What problem do you think of the series Seagate? But Samsung does not remember not one!

If you take last year, the Seagate was even lower percentage of marriages. I think that even after six months all have forgotten about this issue, it has long been diminished. However, Samsung’s indeed in the history of criticism plainly does not have.

Seagate IMHO allowed one strategic mistake - has forced people to try the other hard drive manufacturers.

It appears that the hard drive of other brands are not less reliable while still have some benefits.

There may be quieter than a faster and more cold.

If you remember, I was a staunch supporter of Seagate I have in the park is very noticeable share of WD and home DAK and does most of the discs WD.

Account forget - I am a former colleague has lost such an archive of video and software for a few hundred GB.

Well now in the gimmick did not have 2 Office channels - again, all you can find and download?

Bad that you are not told that you have a lot of them will. For the configuration of the 4 hard already it makes sense to use disks with RAFF.

If you have an opportunity to place pairs of disks in 3.5 "and 5.25" bays, and it is better to do.
