    Default 300-320GB hard drives

Lord, please help to choose a quiet and reliable HDD IDE 300-320 GB.

SATA I do not want to take has long refused and did not want to put a driver on every installation of Windows.

This is when Vista will be "standard", then buy SATA (IMHO).

    Thank you.

Since how long the fish has become a quiet. Reliable - no doubt.

I am here beside the bed was collected quiet systemic at P3 + cooler Titan + MH440 without cooler.

So screw Barracuda 80 GHB to ONE plate very noisy of all. It is a noisy at the fish especially 250-320 GHB is massive feedback that script ring and even more of their younger brothers.

I am in the office is difficult to say - there is no quiet and therefore not true. But for optimal reliability and quietness - you to WD KS / JS Series

As well as cast a habit - in close quarters to put windsurfing. Ready-to address and answer file.

Even windsurfing 2K created to IDE system well developed back to Sata screw.

So my advice to you - change the point of view on this issue.

I decided to create a topic but I saw and decided to raise it. The reason for this was the emergency purchase of a hard disk. I need a model with the IDE interface. I see only one brand of hard drives. This WD, because it has served me for 2 years without interruption, and even served for a long time. The love I have for this brand.

    I have 2 questions.
    1) How reliable models of hard disks with such large capacity as 320 GB? I just remember the times when hard drives with a standard capacity of more than 120 GB dilapidate through one and a half years.

    2) Wind and the BIOS will determine whether it? I have Windows SP2 and BIOS version 2.2 for mattering ABIT NF7

If anyone is available similar model of the hard drive tell more if you were satisfied with this hard drive. There were failures, and there?

"Large capacity" - the notion of a relative, is produced and this HDD form factor with three times more capacity.

Simply put no special problem reliability of this model no.
