To remove an existing drive letter on a drive, on a partition, or on a volume, follow these steps:

1. You have to initially Log in as Administrator otherwise as a member of the Administrators group.

2. And click on the Start button which is situated on the left pane of the taskbar and search fro the Control Panel and click on it, after that you have to immediately click on the Performance and Maintenance.

3. And again click on the Administrative Tools, and after that double-click on the Computer Management, and click on the Disk Management which is situated on the left side.

4. And right-click on the particular drive or any of the logical drive or else the any size of the drive which you want to assign a drive letter, and afterward click on the Change Drive Letter and Paths.

5. And again click on the button as Remove.

6. And finally click on the Yes as soon as you are encouraged to validate the elimination.

The drive letter is erased from the drive, from the partition, or from the size that you precise.
