Western Digital has hit the four terabyte external storage capacity mark with the 4 TB My Book Studio Edition II. This 2.6 kg data tank has two FireWire 800 interfaces, an eSATA, USB port and integrates two 2 TB hard drives configured in RAID a by default or can be configured in RAID 1 for data security. It is useful for those who need lightening speed data transfers for demanding applications. It bundles a backup utility CD, a RAID configuration utility, USB, FireWire 800 and FireWire 400 to 800 cables. To connect it to an eSATA port you would need to shell out some dough to buy an eSATA cable. The My Book Studio Edition II is completely user serviceable.
