Netbook storage media is either solid state drives or conventional HDD. Solid state drives are the better option. They consume less power, have no moving parts, and are a little faster than conventional HDD. The negative point is that they are costlier then a normal HDD and takes more space.
Though the Acer Aspire 1410 has a conventional HDD, but has a huge 250 GB drive. It's a 5400 RPM drive, meaning it's on the slow side, but it doesn't affect its performance much if compared it with the drive in a powerful desktop. It's a SATA connection.
