There is very little that you can do with a hard drive which is dead and cannot be detected. If the hard drive is under warranty, have it replaced, else if you want the data to be rescued, you will have to give it to a professional. Repairing the drive would be expensive (depending on the problem) and rescuing the data would involve a cost which would include the cost of repairing the drive. You should get an estimate for the same and then decide. Get a computer service technician to help you with the needful.
