Thread: Enlarge the partition

I currently have the following partition setup on my Windows XP Pro system: C: is 30GB; D: is 50GB. The C: partition is becoming too small for most purposes these days. Is there an easy way to enlarge the C: partition while decreasing the size of the D: partitions?
Any suggetsion????????

There are some software tools for doing what you want. We have had chance with Acronis Disk Director and Symantec's Norton PartitionMagic. Those applications will resize and even combine partitions, so that can solve your issue.
If you are more technically expert, there is also a free solution, based on a Linux tool called QTParted. But you will require having a bootable CD with KNOPPIX. Your machine can boot from a CD for it to work.
