Simple repair for when PC is about out of storage space is to include new hard drive to system. Before purchasing new hard drive, make sure that it is right kind for system, as once PC product is opened it generally can’t be returned to store.
Instructions
Step 1
Shut down system and detach power cord, if needed. Take out side panel or panels.
Step 2
Make sure that new hard drive is set to be "Slave" and not "Master," and find vacant drive bay for new hard drive.
Step 3
Put in new hard drive into vacant bay and protect with screws or other connecting device given by company.
Step 4
Attach open connector on ribbon cable to new hard drive. Attach power supply cable to new hard drive.
Step 5
Change side panel or panels. Connect power cord and turn on PC.
