Step 1

Open PC and take out hard drive. Find and remove drive's logic board. Check area below board. Look for signs of other harm.

Step 2

Change board with logic board from similar functioning hard drive. If you find more broken areas, just change total hard drive.

Step 3

Check repaired drive.

Detach logic timber from tough drive. Ground the hard drive to an electrostatic point.

Change logic board and re-install hard drive.

Boot hard drive. If successful, instantly back up all data. Disk utilities, like ScanDisk, can move data from bad sectors to unspoiled areas. This is only temporary solution drive being unsuccessful again.

Step 4

If drive doesn’t boot, you want to make it secondary drive in various PC. Change jumpers from "master" to "slave" place. Utilize Data Recovery Software to move data.
