Default Preventing Data Loss on Hard Drive

Data loss on hard drive can be upsetting. Sadly, there is no perfect method for data security. Regular defensive measures are best safety against losing data. Many options are available and cheap.

    Instructions

    Step 1

Maintain PC in low-traffic region to avoid physical damage. Ensure PC region is dry and dust free as likely.

    Step 2

Install virus detection software and maintain programs updated. Use care when opening files where you are insecure of source. Viruses can access hard drive through infected email attachments and shared files, and by visiting Web sites that destroy data.

    Step 3

Buy software programs that detect threatening problems in hard drive. Usual use can help you find out any problems before they destroy data.

    Step 4

Search diagnostic program with "Undo" feature. These "Undo" disks can restore system to its arrangements.

    Step 5

Secure PC from fixed electricity. Present storage media is weak to unrelated fixed discharge that can delete data or harm PC tools.

    Step 6

Back up data repeatedly. Confirm back-up by restoring data to PC. These back-ups will potentially save you from requiring data recovery service if data loss.

    Step 7

Think about buying generator or battery back-up system. A little power surge or storm can delete hard drive data. The continuous power supplies give you capability to back up data during an outage.

    Default Windows data recovery

These precautions are of course helpful for preventing data loss situations but in spite of these steps, data can get corrupted. When I lost my partition in windows 7 and my files gone inaccessible, I went for a partition recovery software . I had two options Stellar Phoenix and Recuva and both are excellent in their own way.
