Thread: Hard drive not functioning

I have 1 TB Seagate freeagent USB hard disk and I worked with both vista and Ubuntu. But now problem is that it stops working in vista as well as in ubuntu. So please provide me any suggestions to solve this problem.

Check the partition if it shows as RAW means DBR of partition is damaged, so repair this partition or recovers files, then reformats that partition to use. Or put in this hard drive to USB interface at back of box as front USB interface power is not enough.

Thanks for your response. But when I connect it to other PC it works fine without any problems. So I think there is problem with my notebook. Also there is no front/back USB port as I am using notebook.
