Default Password security for hard disk

I have taken hard disk from my friend but when I try to start PC it asks me the password. I think the hard disk is password protected. So I want to delete password in bios. So please provide me any suggestions about how to unlock this password. Any help will be appreciated.

It looks that BIOS is not slightly on SD master. It is rather on ROM of motherboard. Check the BIOS. If you try to transfer PWD throw during boot menu config BIOS by burning ESC, F1, F8, it show bill of fare to delete it. Or take out battery from motherboard and PWD will vanish on ROM after some time. I think it is not work on few motherboards. It must return PC for factory technician deletes PWD.
