Thread: Hard Disk Master Password

I have XP installed on my PC but when I turn on it has black screen and asks for drivelock password, and I forget HDD master password. So can anyone know what HDD master password is? If anyone knows then provide me some information about it and tell me how can I solve this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

When you unlocked drive then locked it again by yourself, you negated master password. This password is generally saves both in chip on HD controller and on hard disk itself in particular hidden sector.

Setting password makes hard disk totally unfeasible to anybody that does not know it. New hard disks support setting of hard disk password lock thus user can’t access drive until right password is entered. Try low level format of drive to remove all sectors. This is general implementation in many new notebooks. These hard disk lock passwords are not similar as BIOS passwords.
