Thread: Protecting data on Maxtor BlackArmor hard drive

I installed XP in my PC and I am using external hard disk with totally safety mode. As when any unauthorized user wont obtain information from hard disk. So I select Maxtor BlackArmor hard drive but I do not know how to protect data in it. So provide me any suggestions about it.

This hard disk generally maintain back up data of records on PC but when files on run of mill unencrypted hard disk can expose vital detail with passwords to thieves that may walk off with drive. But major benefit of this hard drive which is secures data without employing "Top Secret" encryption levels. Ability of that kind of hard disk is about 160GB and used USB 2.0 connector option.

I think that ata password technology is utilized by Maxtor to protect hard disk data.
