Default Slave Hard Drive not visible

I built a new system with 500 GB hard disk. My old computer has added 250 GB hard disk and save my all data in this hard disk. But partitions divided into two sizes of my xp operating system. I want to transfer the data new drive from the old and I then wanted to wipe clean and reformat the 250G drive. I can’t see the drive; it comes up as 0 on the disk manager, but can’t be seen in My Computer and I find again remove the partition and reformat to its max size so I can use it as storage for music, pictures etc. please help me to solve this problem.

You have entire got in the BIOS environment. If you ensure your master and slave configuration or hard disk boot order.
