Thread: Password safety for hard disk

My friend gives me his hard disk but the problem is that hard disk is password protect. That’s why I am not able to do anything. I tried different method but none of them worked out. It is possible to crack the password. . Please help me to get rid of this problem. Thanks in Advance.

10.7 Security Mode attribute Set Security Mode Feature Set is a powerful security attribute. With a device lock password, a user can stop unauthorized access to HDD device although the device is removed from the system.

New commands are supported for this feature as below.

• Security Set Password ( 'F1'h)

• Security Unlock ( 'F2'h)

• Security Erase Prepare ( 'F3'h)

• Security Erase Unit ( 'F4'h)

• Security Freeze Lock ( 'F5'h)

• Security Disable Password ( 'F6'h)
