The DVD-R is a popular digital storage medium, with the aptitude of holding nearly 5 GB of in sequence. A CD-RW is also a good storage space device, but with about one-sixth of the capacity. You may want to transfer information from a DVD-R to CD-RW, in case you need to access files on a PC that doesn't have a DVD drive.

Instructions

Step1

Insert the DVD-R into your force and open the DVD to view its contents. pretentious the DVD is full, you can't transport the entire disc onto just one CD-R. Create six new folders on your desktop, labeling them "DVD-1," "DVD-2," and so forth, up to 6.

Step2

Highlight a division of the DVD-R's inside, right-click and go to "Properties." Note how large, in megabytes (MB), the section you highlighted is. Press "Esc" and homecoming to highlighting the files. Ideally, CD-R. Once you've highlighted a ~700MB section, drag it into the first folder (DVD-1), and wait for the system to copy all the files.

Step3

Highlight a new section, foundation with the first file after the last one you just transfer. Drag this ~700MB section into the instant folder (DVD-2). Repeat this until all library from the DVD-R are divided into the six DVD folders.

Step4

Insert a blank CD-RW into your drive. Open your CD burning software and select "Create Data Disc." Locate "DVD-1" from your desktop and select it as the wallet you want to burn. Click "Burn Disc" and allow the process to partial. duplicate this step for all six folders.
