Bios does not notice prime ide hard drive, but notice slave ide hard drive.When in boot, the monitor shows up with a mistake message: "Drive is not ready and the system is halted."
Sometimes when the hard drive and the prime are being detected, the PC is actually slow, as in no respond from the hard drive. No sound is coming from the hard drive or a flash of a busy signal light.

1) Primary thing to do is to get your Master HDD working.

2) Eliminate the novel data cable and put the old cable back into the system.

3) Eliminate the Slave HDD by separate the power lead from the Slave HDD.

4) Once you have got the Master HDD operational you can look for the difficulty with your Slave HDD.
