Making a hard drive a slave drive?
Shutdown Computer
Log off the PC. Turn off the power switch and eliminate the power cord from the behind of the PC. Eliminate the sides panels from the PC case.
Set Jumper Cables
Take the hard drive that is too installed as a slave drive and see at the behind of the device. Place the jumper pin on the behind of the hard drive. Utilizing either the instructions on the hard drive itself or the instructions contained with the hard drive packaging, determine the jumper settings for a slave drive. Place in the jumper pin into the space chosen as the slave jumper setting.
Install Slave Drive
Install the drive into the PC case and tie the hard drive utilizing the provided screws. Take the existing IDE cable from the master hard drive and attach the middle gray connector of the cable to the recently installed slave drive, leaving the top connector attached to the master. Reattach the side panels from the PC case, insert the power cord and boot the PC
