Thread: Hard drive not pass for HP G71-340US

I have a HP G71-340US laptop with XP operating system. From last night my HDD is making clicking noises and will not go past loading windows screen. If I replace my HDD my problem is solve and also tell me how to replace it? Please let me know if there is any inbuilt method to overcome the issue. Thanks in advanced.

Yes, it is possible you can change the hard drive. In your HP G71-340US there is a sata hard drive and there are two sata ports. Installed new operating system on your new hard drive and then connect the old HDD to see if you can get the information you would like to keep off of it.
