Thread: Unable to design External HDD

I am using SAMSUNG external HDD. My machine is reading the drive on My Computer, but when I click on it, it says it's not formatted. If I right-click on Properties, it says that there is 0 space used, and 0 space available. What I need to do in this situation please help me out from this issue.

Did you before now tried a Check Disk or Scan Disk?

Where I get Check Disk/Scan Disk? Can't get the place.

• Open the command prompt and do this:
CHKDSK E: /F

• Change the E: with your drive letter.

• If it founds some errors, the /F will force to repair

Nothing happens at all when I click "Check Now". No processes begin.
