Thread: Help to pass over all old files

I installed the update for vista to windows 7 and select custom that it deleted all files.. I deleted the Windows old file and it only helped a little bit. Is there something i can do to restore my hard disks to an almost factory blank. I don't want all this old clutter.

I suggest in this problem that you can run CCleaner to clean up a bit of the mess.

sometimes what happens is that you acquire a duel install. The better way to install Windows from an upgrade disk is to backup all then doing a clean install using the upgrade disk.

As your information it look as if your upgrade install really saved most of the programs as well the original folders seen with the former Vista installation there if you followed a supported upgrade path. The chose option for most however when moving into a latest edition of Windows.
