There is some reason you want external? I simply nabbed a WD Caviar Black one TB internal for hard disks.

I have no spare bays. I need to keep this hard disks in this system too. I'm not unfavorable to internals in cases the USB adapters .

Do you have eSATA attaches? That's a existence for a permanent external that would be a some faster than USB. I doubt external drives because I don't know what brand is on the inside . I would purchase an internal and then purchase an document.

It doesn't have to be especially fast. It's only going to deliver my movie data and store some big files. I might even connect it into my router so USB would be the way to go .

This looks to be the cheapest still most higher rated one TB drive on New Egg.WD oneTB External. I don't believe they ship to the UK but I'm confirm you could detect something comparable where you are.

I'm not confirm of the specs of this one i have but it is a poor quality drive. I purchased it for the similar purpose as the new one i'm after but it strives to even do that and if i forget to disconnect it when Windows reboots I usually have to do a thorough check disk to recover the data to a safe place, nuke the drive, reformat .
