I think the best technique is using XCOPY, this is widely utilized. Are the hard drive on SATA on the similar computer? Is it external? It appeared internal, but needed to approve. once again, a some Forensics Examiners and another guys utilize XCOPY still a bit more then simply drag/drop.

DD statement in Linux. utilizing a Live CD Tolerance Data Loss. I never such as Hiren Boot CD, nothing beats DD command copy, DISK to DISK is the most effective direction to do Bit to Bit copy.

the disks are on the similar computer, SATA and internal. I don't need to have to boot from some CD and DVD to do this. inherent Windows tools are what I'm expecting for actually. The partitions are formatted to NTFS BTW.

I realize I observed it, and so have you, but physically, have you done a trial? I think that sometimes, it's flimsy while you drag or drop and copy or paste it, exactly like you observed it.

I require to rapidly and faithfully move 200GB from disk A to disk B. disk B has no operating system installed. I believe x copy is likely the way to go.
