Thread: Strange problem hard drive laptop

Hello everyone I have a hp nc6120 notebook which has strange problems probably related to 'hard disk .... then these are the symptoms

1) When the pc hangs on the splash screen Hp.

2) Sporadic times turned out that the message has not been any hard.

3) Side and sometimes Windows loads and you can also use the PC, but every now and then enchants the PC and you can do it again if you hit with enough force in the hard disk .... so I thought the problem is not electronic but mechanical hard drive ... so I wanted to ask if you think may be the hard disk controller, and then solved by replacing the connector on the motherboard or since the PC has almost 6 years!

You should try to remove and replace the hard drive from the laptop to see if it can have problems with intermittent contacts. Then get a contact spray, and clean a bit on the connector of the motherboard, sometimes this is enough to solve the problems of false contacts.
