Hi, I have quick question. Last weekend as I worked on some test / pre-production work for upcoming recordings of one of my bands and finally ended at + - 80 tracks that were played simultaneously in some places. My HD started throttling and pulled the data is no longer with the playback. I now have an IBM 7200RPM drive on an IDE bus hang. Would buying a SATA PCI card with a SATA disk with a reasonably large cache buffer (32 or 64MB) to save me in this situation or is it hopeless?
The system is also a Pentium IV 2800Mhz, 2GB Ram.
