Default Hard Drive dedicated to the operating system

Hi all,i'm changing from xp home 32bit to win7 64 bit and need to which hard drive to have the OS.I was guessing of something compact for just the OS as i have other drives for storage, like maybe 500gb or 320gb or something like that. Which is reliable?

I'm not very sure what you're related but I have had great opportunity with the Western Digital Black series drives and Seagates 7200.12 drives too. Before taking any go through the reviews properly.
