Default Hard Drive creating clunking sound when frivolous

I have a brand new ASUS Eee Computer 1015PX but its giving problem. The problem is that the hard drive has been constructing ‘clunking’ sound out of the box. It happens in each some secs, particularly when at rest and hear a "pop" noise. It is so disappointing for me and bothering also. This occurs too throughout charging the battery but it stops as soon as when I give it few functions to do, for example, copy the documents.

I found same complaints in relation to the WD drive and got a link to "QuietHDD" - a small free program that made the irritating noise stopped instantly. Only glancing on it at perfectly what it does and the recent configuration, but here is the propaganda: Well, then perhaps you observed an bothering clicking sound that arrives from time to time. That is why we wrote rather HDD. This is a so small Windows app which eliminates the sound. Later spending few time in the growth of the more helpful and more were made, but even - and ever will be - a little utility to dilute noise. Rather HDD EeeHDD is the successor.

Few extra data's are as follows: The click sound is made through the Seagate hard drive of my eee Computer 1000H (Seagate ST9160827AS). When frivolous, the drive needs to park the heads because the Advanced Power Management (APM) of the hard drive is activated through default each time the drive motor spins up later suspend.

Even I would like to add few more points to it such as
Now, whenever the system starts, wakes up from suspend or the drives APM are excited. The click sound arrives back again and again. This small tool only sits in the sys-tray and will realize when the system wakes up from suspend or hibernate and disable the drives APM characteristic.

Previous days I read on the Maxtor site about the sound the hard drive and said me occasional "drive through clicking" noises are acceptable, but I have utilized / owned a dozen PCs and have never had a hard drive to do this. I imagine I will acquire another spare hard drive soon, because still if the unit is not going to die soon is bothering as hell. I am thinking perhaps sending the draft.
