Nowadays inkjet printers are intended to print all from high quality photographs to address labels, from a plain text document to a multi-page color presentation. The key to generating kind of output you want lies in printer's internal settings.

Instructions

1. Step 1

Decide if feed path design is straight or curved by consulting inkjet owner's manual. Since a rule of thumb, if printer is intended to print on heavier paper and copier paper, it possibly has a straight feed path.

2. Step 2

Install print driver and printer software on PC with installation disk integrated with printer. If you do not have an installation disk, go to download sector of Printer Company’s website and download the driver.

3. Step 3

For Windows OS, open printer utility folder from control panel. For Mac OS, open the printer preferences from application folder. In this all settings are placed.

4. Step 4

Select "Paper Type" from printer's utility or settings menu. Most printers have a setting for labels, but for those that do not; you want to select heavy, thick, or photo matte option, based on printer. Keep on selecting setting options for color, density, speed, orientation, and output size.

5. Step 5

Save and name settings if you plan to print labels quite frequently. After settings are saved, select setting's name and printer will automatically switch to your label settings.
