Boosting wireless signal can be completed in two methods. Costly tools can be bought and connected to router, or for under $1 you can create your own wireless extender.

Instructions

1. Step 1

Check the router and ensure it has some type of antenna on back. It does not matter if router has one or two antenna; it just wants to have one to connect your wireless signal booster.

2. Step 2

Go to website listed in Resources for design template to use. On that website at the bottom you get the template labeled "Windsurfer." Save this image and print it out onto card-stock paper.

3. Step 3

Cut the two shapes out and on rectangle tape or glue one side with foil, but consider where the six splits were.

4. Step 4

Cut the original six slits into rectangle with the foil on one side. Slide every edge on other shape into one of the slits on foil side. After edges are in, protect them on other side with glue or tape. The foil side must now have a swelling on it and be curved inner to the hump slightly.

5. Step 5

Create holes big enough for antenna where "+" marks are on every side of hump. Then connect new amplifiers to antenna. The side with hump is side that is amplifying signal, thus point it in direction of Acer Aspire One Laptop.
