Device Firmware Update made is abbreviated as DFU mode. This mode can be utilized on iPhone as a final resort when phone does not function in recovery mode and to install and update firmware manually. The steps to exit DFU mode are simple to perform.

Exit from DFU mode

1. Step 1

Find "Power" button. This is at the top right hand side of the iPhone, next to sim card slot.

2. Step 2

Find the "Home" button. It will be placed at bottom center of iPhone.

3. Step 3

Choose and press both the "Power" and the "Home" button.

4. Step 4

Press both buttons for five seconds and then release them.

5. Step 5

The iPhone must mechanically shut down and restart into normal mode. If not, press both buttons again for five seconds.
