    Default How to Get Oil off your Computer Keyboard

    If you spend much time with keyboard, probabilities are good the finish on keys looks glossy. The glossy finish is what occurs when oil from fingers makes its way onto keyboard. Next to unappealing look oil leaves on keys, the oil from fingers can make typing a greasy gross occurrence.

    Instructions

    1. Step 1

    Clean computer keys. Earlier than cleaning oil from keyboard, you want to take out dust and dirt that there on key. If you remove above layer of dust and dirt it will permit you to better get at the base of problem the oil on keyboard. Dust of keyboard, and then utilize an attachment on vacuum to lift the remaining dust and crumbs. After dust and crumbs picked up, you obtain oil off computer keys.

    2. Step 2

    Clean the keys with Windex. Windex does not only work great for cleaning windows it also works surprises when you want to remove oil from keyboard. Spray some Windex on a paper towel and wash computer keys. Ensure that PC is turned off before pressing buttons. Windex works great for removing any oil that just been left on keyboard. If oil has been on keyboard for a moment, you want to do slightly more work.


    Step 3

    Clean with evaporation solvents. If Windex did not remove oil from keyboard, try using some evaporative solvents. Begin with something easy, like rubbing alcohol. Alcohol looks to break down the oils, and then rapidly evaporates and rubbing alcohol is inexpensive, so if it works. For removing the oil from keyboard use a cotton ball and some rubbing alcohol. Apply rubbing alcohol to PC keys that are oily.

    Step 4

    Pop off keys and wash in water. If that does not remove oil from keyboard, it’s going to be more difficult. For actually oily keyboards you want to pop off PC keys and leave them suddenly in a tub of water. Wash every key with a rag and attempt to get off as much of oil as you can. These steps must remove oil from keyboard.
