Instructions

1. Step 1

Buy a flash drive at any office supply, computer, or department store. Sizes are available in 1 GB and more. The more gigabytes mean more storage space and higher the price. A 16 to 32 GB flash drive must suit most requirements.

2. Step 2

For installation of Flash drive plug_and_play is used. Take flash drive and plug into any accessible USB port on computer. Windows identifies flash drive as new hardware and allocates it a drive letter.

3. Step 3

Now open new flash drive. The best method to open the flash drive is to go to my computer. Double click my computer icon. Search for new hardware icon. And double click. This opens the flash drive.

4. Step 4

For moving files to flash drive just drag and drop into flash drive folder. Ensure that flash drive folder is still open. E.g. move my pictures folder to flash drive folder. Just click on my pictures icon and drag to flash drive folder and drop. The folder must now be shown in flash drive. Keep on in this way until all files you want to move to flash drive are added.

5. Step 5

After all files are added work is finished. Just close the flash drive file and unplug from USB port.
