Many recent PC video cards have two outputs. They are either two DVI-D (Digital Visual Interface-Digital) outputs or one DVI port and one VGA (Video Graphics Array) port. This makes pretty good chance of attaching two monitors to a PC. Mirroring the PC desktop and all running applications on two monitors is helpful, e.g. during presentations to make sure that all audience in an auditorium can see what is on monitor.

Instructions

1. Step 1

Check video outputs on the back panel your PC to make sure there are two of them. Just one video output is analytic of an outdated video card; you cannot attach second monitor.

2. Step 2

Connect DVI or VGA connector of cable into available DVI or VGA output port of PC video card. Then put other cable connector into particular port of second monitor.

3. Step 3

Log in a user account in Windows 7/Vista. In Windows Vista right-click on desktop, select "Personalize" and tick "Display Settings." In Windows 7, click "Display Settings." Two square icons labeled "1" and "2" that represent monitors will show.

4. Step 4

Opt for the radio button shows "Duplicate my Desktop on all monitors (mirrored)" and tick "OK."
