The Power Mac G4 is an Apple desktop PC. Sometimes, you want to bring up the Boot Options for PC. This may be because of hardware failures or a program not responding correctly. Whatever the reason, you can open and access Boot Options menu on Power Mac G4 with some clicks of mouse and keyboard.

Instructions

1. Step 1

Shut down PC by clicking the Apple logo, then click "Shut Down."

2. Step 2

Restart PC after some time.

3. Step 3

Push and hold the "Shift" key as it boots up. This will show Safe Mode Boot Option
for Power Mac G4. The safe mode runs only the needed programs Mac OS wants to work.

4. Step 4

Restart PC and hold the "T" button. If you have a different Mac attached to PC via FireWire, it is feasible to read the other Mac's hard drive.

5. Step 5

Shut down Power Mac G4 and press "C" key. This shows a new boot options menu that permits you to boot from a installation disk that is now attached to Mac. This is useful if trying to install a new operating system.
