In PC, each hardware device that is installed needs a device driver a part of software code that basically "describes" to PC how to control the device. Hardware companies often update drivers for their devices to develop their performance and compatibility with latest hardware that is brought to market. Check PC for bad or out-of-date drives to maintain it performing its best.

Instructions

1. Step 1

Press Windows logo and "R" keys concurrently to display Run dialog box.

2. Step 2

Type devmgmt.msc in the box, and press "Enter." This shows Device Manager.

3. Step 3

Scan the list for any items with a yellow exclamation mark superimposed. This shows that PC does not know how to hold a device that is installed as no drivers are present or driver is wrong. If you do not notice any, device drivers for hardware in PC are installed properly. Though, they still are outdated.
