Do not just throw these batteries in waste, it is very terrible for environment, extremely unlawful, and they can be simply recycled.

2. Step 2

There are different places that will correctly dispose of laptop battery for you. Some of them are places like best buy, office depot, or any PC retailer. There are also devoted PC recyclers. Check locally to see if there is a PC recycler in area.

3. Step 3

These places generally have a kiosk setup where you place battery in a bag and drop it in box. If you do not see a kiosk inquire an employee about proper laptop battery disposal and they will show right direction and possibly even take care of it for you.
