PCs are enabling to enter a low-power state recognized as Sleep Mode. In Sleep Mode, a PCs hard drive and fans spin down, and processor enters an inactive position. PC draws sufficient power to keep only the contents of memory, permitting it to start again quickly when you want to return to using PC. This is particularly helpful for saving battery life of a laptop like Dell Studio 17. Wake up Dell Studio 17 from standby mode and go back to Windows.
Instructions
1. Step 1
Open the cover of Studio 17 and press power button. In many condition, this is
enough to wake the Studio 17 and cause it to start again from standby mode.
2. Step 2
Connect Studio 17 into a wall outlet if power LED indicator flashes amber when press power button. An amber-flashing power LED specifies that battery in the Studio 17 does not have enough power remaining to turn laptop on.
3. Step 3
Make sure that Studio 17 is getting power if it is connected to an opening and power LED indicator is blinking yellow. When battery is charging, LED becomes white.
4. Step 4
Detach the Studio 17 from power outlet and take out battery as a final resort if PC does not wake up from standby mode under any conditions. Taking out battery causes it to turn off totally. You lost any data that was not saved before PC entered standby mode.
5. Step 5
Give back battery to Studio 17, again connect the power adapter and push power button to turn on laptop.
