Netgear is recognized for making wireless routers. These routers permit users to join to Internet without hard wires. As a user of a Netgear router, you are able to modify main settings through account interface. This can be hard if you not accessed the account newly. To access Netgear account, you must access router's IP address and log in by using administrator username and password.

Instructions

1. Step 1

In your web browser, copy the IP address and push enter: 192.168.0.1. Then you can access Netgear router by this IP address.

2. Step 2

Decide what model Netgear router you have. This will be essential to decide username and password.

3. Step 3

Go to "Default Password Page" using other web browser window. It shows default username and password for every Netgear models.

4. Step 4

Find model you have and write the default username and password.

5. Step 5

Now go to the login page of router and enter name of the user and password you earlier wrote down. This permits you to get access to Netgear. Now you can modify or update name of user and password.
